Caroline is the V.I.P!

Not only was Friday Trevor's birthday, but it was the end of Caroline's VIP (Very Important Person) week at school! Here she is getting crowned!

She received a special book as a gift from her teacher.

Here she is with one of her little Kindergarten friends, Renna! At Caroline's request, she brought the kids Kettle Corn and Fruit Roll ups for her special VIP Party!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Mr. T!

Trevor woke up to this pile of gifts and homemade sign from the family! He was so excited that it was finally his turn to have a birthday!

Just like everyone else in the family, he used the "You are Special" plate for his meals (even if it was just to hold cereal)!

After lunch, we celebrated with cupcakes. He was mesmerized by his #3 candle!

Yum!

Our gift to Trevor was this Tonka trash truck. It has already brought hours of fun!

For dinner, we celebrated at Red Robin. These three were sitting across from us!

I love this little blue eyed, 3 year old, boy!

We had a small birthday party for Trevor on Saturday night. He requested a "truck" party, so a "truck" party, he got! He even got a "truck" cake!

He is the only child of ours who has ever requested party hats, or even kept one on at a party! He was so excited about these hats! He's also enjoying being sung to..."Happy Birthday to You...."

Can I blow out my candle yet?!

Halloween 2010

Here are some fun Halloween pictures from this year!

First, they had dress up night at Awana last week. We have an Alley Cat, Baseball Player, Baby Doll, and Bob the Builder.

On Saturday night, we attended a fun evening at our church with illusionist, Danny Ray, and then some trick or treating around the grounds. Same costumes, minor changes!

The kids really wanted to stay at home tonight, and didn't want to dress up again. We finally convinced them that we should go Trick or Treating for a little while. We ended up with Twin Girls, Bob, and Thomas!

Beowulf

Kyle did his first ever oral report at our homeschool co-op on Monday. The topic is Beowulf. Here it is, along with what he was saying (below the video). He did a great job! (Sorry about some of the extra noise. There was another child crinkling some paper that was recorded.)

Beowulf

I’m going to tell you about Beowulf. It is not a real story, but one written by the Anglo Saxons. It’s one of the oldest stories that was written in English. Beowulf, the Hero, sailed from Ireland to Sarkland. Beowulf was a person in a story. He was a brave hero because there were monsters across the seas and he killed them. Beowulf sailed across the sea and fought this monster called Grendel. He pulled his arm off and Grendel ran into the water. He drowned and died. Beowulf faced Grendel naked – he didn’t wear any armor. He was a hero!

In case you were wondering, Kyle's face was painted blue because they were pretending to be the Celts.
