Crowns and Literacy

The older three kiddos looked so cute wearing their Burger King crowns that I couldn't resist a picture. Here they are in the back seat of the van, before we went into the house.

Tonight was Literacy Night at Erica's school. The kids were able to decorate book boxes, listen to stories, receive a book of their own, make things related to Dr. Seuss and generally have a great time!

Steph's Birthday

Today was my birthday and Greg and the kids really made it special. Greg made me breakfast, he brought me my favorite Subway sandwich for lunch, and he made dinner for the kids. I had a wonderful massage this afternoon and went out to dinner with some friends! It was a great birthday! Erica gave me the gift of no "crying, whining or complaining" and Kyle gave me a gift that I am oh, so grateful for. (Ask me about it in person or an email.) Caroline and Trevor were well behaved too! All in all, a great day!

Today was also slipper day for Kyle at preschool. He had great fun showing off his Spiderman slippers! The kids helped Greg decorate my chocolate cake today!
Here I am prior to opening my gifts. No, the balloon is not growing out of my head!
The kids chose these pajamas and comfy robe for me!
Greg shocked me with a Wii - which I had been hinting would be fun to have. I can't wait to play it with everyone!
After the gift opening...
Here's my lovely cake...
Trevor was enamored with the candles.
I went out to dinner with two good friends, Jen and Jen. We went to Marie Callendars, where we had yummy food AND pie. What visit to Marie's would be complete without the pie?
Here I am with my potato cheese soup. We thought it was pretty enough to put a birthday candle in but the restaurant didn't have any!
Yummy soup and cornbread with honey butter. I forgot to take a picture of my pie! I had the chocolate satin pie, a must for a chocolate lover!

The Old Spaghetti Factory Birthday Dinner

We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate Steph's birthday, since the kids have Awana tomorrow night. I meant to take a picture of my Mezithra spaghetti, which is the only reason I really love going to the Old Spaghetti Factory. :)

The look on my face was due to the fact that the servers started singing very loudly and frightened poor Trevor. Can you tell that he is crying?

Here I am enjoying my lovely bowl of Spumoni!

Swinging in Seattle

It was a gorgeous weekend here in Seattle, so along with some inside stuff we had to do, we spent some time outdoors as well. We have a little park right through our cul-de-sac where we enjoy playing!

Don't get sick watching the kids swing here....

The kids had so much fun, and we enjoyed their little red cheeks again!

Sorry!

Erica received the game Sorry! for Christmas and we all had fun playing today! The kids especially liked it when they got to send someone back to their starting point and yell, "Sorry!" It'll be awhile before Trevor can play, but I'm sure he'll catch on soon enough!

Day After President's Day Playdate!

Today was another day off of school. Several districts up here have historically had a mid-winter break. Our local school district changed that this year and shortened the week off, which will mean that school ends a little bit earlier in June too (yay!). We drove up to Snoqualmie to visit some friends for another playdate. Erica and Julie were in Kindergarten together last year.

When we arrived home, Erica lined up all of the My Little Ponies for a photo session...

President's Day Playdate

On Monday, we had a playdate with our good friends, the Oldrights, Elwells, and Traynors. Jen, Heather, Jen and Steph all taught school together and were good friends before the kiddos were born. These kids have all known each other since they were born and the only one missing, was Cole, who was home sick with his Dad. In order of age, they are Dane, Kennedy, Erica, Jackson, Jessalynn, Molli, Kyle, Harrison, Caroline, Cole, Krista, Jack, Trevor. It is always a fun time had by all, and Jenifer O. was as hospitable as always!

Decorating George Washington cookies!
Dane was trying to help Erica roller skate and it was so fun to see his nice disposition with her as she was pretty wobbly! Here's Caroline having fun in the playhouse/fort!

The kids decided that they wanted to pull down a tree limb, so they worked together and pulled!

Harrison and Caroline, hanging out!
Here's the fruit stand they created from Jen's earlier shopping trip! This fruit soon became the afternoon snack!
Here are most of the kids eating their fruit and posing for a group shot. Wait, where is Harrison?

Sweet Molli - "with an I"

There's Harrison, eating his banana! Dane decided to try a lemon too!

Rosy Cheeks

Kyle had been playing outside in the cold, sunny weather and these are the little cheeks we saw when he came in! He gets the rosiest little cheeks! So cute!
Here's Trevor during his last nebulizer treatment on Sunday as well. He can even smile through the mist!

Blue Eyed Boy

Here is our blue eyed boy yesterday! He's still coughing but happy enough to be looking so cute!

Here's Trevor in his Bumbo seat. His neck is strong enough now to enjoy sitting in it!
