Goldilocks and More Birthday Celebration!

Part of my birthday weekend was taking the kids to see another wonderful production by Storybook Theater. This time it was "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," and it was all about manners and being kind to one another. We loved it!

Here they are with Baby Bear...
...and Goldilocks herself!
Here's Mama Bear! I (Steph) could really relate to Mama!
Then it was off to Red Robin for the birthday dinner that we didn't have last night!

Trevor loves his fries!

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

It was my (Steph's) 29th birthday for the 10th time on Friday! Greg took the day off to help celebrate!

First he made me breakfast. It was yummy!
He gave me roses and took the kids shopping for me so I had a few presents to open!

I love the homemade cards from the kids! Erica gave me a bag (she says it is for library books!) and a Reeses - one of my favorites!

Kyle colored a beautiful rainbow and gave me some cookie cutters and more candy!
I also received a rainbow card from Caroline, along with some Kisses and a food tent (the kids loved playing with this).

Greg gave me just what I wanted - a sewing machine! There were some other contributions to it as well. Thanks to everyone! I have been wanting to learn how to sew and this will make it much easier to learn! Anyone want to teach me?

Then we packed up the car and headed for the mountains to play in the snow. We missed the huge snowfall here when we were in California for Christmas, so we thought it would be a fun way to spend some time together. It was a gorgeous day here and perfect for playing in the snow!

Here's a short video that shows just a snippet of the fun we had! At the end, Caroline had a bunch of snow go into her mittens so here hands were pretty wet until we put some knit gloves inside her mittens!

Here's Daddy Longlegs - jumping over Kyle!

We were planning on going out to dinner and realized that we were very close to where some old friends of our lived. So we called them and they agreed to meet us for dinner! The wait at the restaurant was almost an hour though, so we went back to their house for some pizza and ice cream!

Thanks Kasie and Kelly for helping me celebrate!

Fun times!

Caroline had some fun static hair while playing in the tent at our friend, Jackson's, 6th birthday party!
Here's Kyle putting handcuffs on little Trevor! I love seeing them play together, but handcuffs already?!
Friends! Along with Jackson's birthday, we also celebrated Valentine's Day!
Best buds!
A few days later, we met the Oldrights at the skating rink for some good ole fashion roller skating.
Harrison and Caroline enjoyed taking Baby Christina for a walk around the rink!
Skating friends! Somehow, this Duplo piece on Erica's shoulder was thrown at the exact time I took the picture!
Kyle and Jackson try skating too!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our morning started off with heart shaped pancakes. I added some pink food coloring, but you can't really tell they are pink in this picture!
I also made a trifle for dessert that night. It had angel food cake, rasberry jello with rasberries mixed in, and rasberry yogurt!

Trevor loved playing with my balloon that came with my flowers from Greg!
Here we are!
We tried to get a group picture of the kids with the candy they received. It was a humorous photo session! Trevor has a way to keep us all laughing!

Thank you to all the grandparents who sent fun cards and candy! We love you all! Happy Valentine's Day!

Greg and I have been shopping for a new dryer. Last week, we went to Sears and Trevor had his first experience at one of the play areas at the local mall. He had fun keeping up with his brother and sisters!

Daily Happenings!

The kids enjoyed doing their Valentines for their friends at our Homeschool Co-op. They enjoyed giving and receiving!
Kyle is enjoying learning to read! He can read very simple words now! Fun tickle time with Mommy!

Erica loves to read and we can't keep track of all she reads! She's caught off guard here!
Walking boy!

Preschool at Co-op!
My class, including two of my own!

Here's Trevor with Dianne in the nursery at Co-op. He is well taken care of and loves it there!
Erica did her report this unit on Eleanor Roosevelt. This time, I helped her by "interviewing" her. She brought the class Angel Food Cake, which was Eleanor's favorite dessert! She did an excellent job!
