Kyle - Tooth and T-Ball!

We discovered today that Kyle has a very loose tooth! It's his first loose tooth and he was a little bit scared to find it wiggling in his mouth! We are a little bit surprised, but Erica lost her first one about a month before turning 5 as well, so I guess our kids just start losing them early! Here's my attempt at getting a picture of his loose tooth! Stay tuned!

Bad Bugs and Big Airplanes!

The weather turned out to be beautiful this afternoon, so I took the kids (minus Erica who was at school) down to the mailbox. I decided to walk the long way home and let them play at the park for a few minutes. (Sorry grandparents, I didn't have the camera with me. What was I thinking?!) The kids enjoyed the swings, the play structure and as Caroline puts it, "The wiggly slide!" They were climbing up (yes, up!) the slide and Kyle decided to save the day by smashing any bugs that he found. At one point, he had me laughing when he said, "There are so many bad bugs in this part of town!" There was also a big C-17 that flew over us and after Kyle unplugged his ears, he stated emphatically, "That's the biggest airplane I ever saw!"

Our Weekend!

Erica's good friend, Kennedy, spent the weekend with us while her mom was out of town. It was a gorgeous weekend up here and we were able to spend some of it outdoors. First though, we went and saw another Storybook Theater production - this time to Cinderella!

Last stop on Saturday was to Wendy's for dinner. Here are the kiddos being goofy while they enjoy their Frosties!
We all had spaghetti dinner together when Kennedy's dad came to pick her up. Kyle and Caroline were especially happy to have their friends, Jackson and Harrison, arrive too!

Here's Kyle with his wonderful preschool teacher, Mrs. Peabody. Friday was her last day at the preschool. We will all miss you, Mrs. Peabody! Thank you for a wonderful year!

Trevor Eats!

Trevor is 5 months, 2 weeks, and 5 days old - just right for a first bite of rice cereal! He did pretty well with it tonight, although he only had a tiny bit. I'm sure in a few weeks he'll be eating Cheerios and wanting to try our food!

Saturday in Seattle

I'm playing a little bit of catch up here on the blog. Somehow laundry and dishes and diapers and reading stories and making lunch and dinner take precedence over the blog. So, things are out of order, but hopefully no one minds!

Greg came home on Friday so we wanted to spend some time together on Saturday. We took the kids back up to the Children's Museum and had some fun. Before we left, Greg gave them these fun chocolate lollipops that have their pictures on them!

We surprised the kids and took our first ever (as a family) ride on the Monorail over to Westlake Center.

We had a few minutes while we waited for the monorail, so I took the kids down and back up three floors on the escalators. They loved it!

Artichokes!

I grew up really enjoying artichokes and every now and then I'll buy them when they are on sale. I'm always hesitant to try new things with the kids though because often the food just goes to waste. I knew that Erica liked artichokes from a long time ago, but I wasn't so sure about Kyle and Caroline.

T-Ball

Kyle started a 5 week long T-Ball class last night at the YMCA. It is the first class like this that he's ever done and he was SO excited! When we arrived, we realized that 3 year olds were in the class too, so Caroline participated as well. At the end of the class, we decided that Caroline will participate another time, but she sure had fun last night!

Daddy's Home!

Daddy arrived home yesterday morning at just about the same time my mom flew out. Once again, the nice ticketing agent let me through security with Caroline and Trevor. It was great to meet Greg near the gate and to say goodbye to my mom there too. They were able to see each other for just a couple of minutes before we left.

We took pictures of each of the kids as they saw their daddy. It was fun, because they each saw them in different places.

Trevor wasn't quite so sure about him, but quickly recovered! It wasn't too long before he was in Daddy's arms smiling and laughing!

From the airport, we went to pick up Kyle after preschool. I had arranged for a friend to take him to their house and we picked him up there. He was so happy to see Greg, but once he was in the car said that he wanted to play at his friend's house! He quickly got over it and loved having his daddy back.

It was then on to Erica's school! I called ahead of time and asked her teacher to keep her in while the other kids went out to recess. She was given a special job along with a few other kids, and was quite surprised when we walked in! She went from helping out to hugging and turning red all in about 10 seconds time. Boy, was she glad to see her daddy!
