Grand Prix!

Last night was the Awana Grand Prix. This was the first year Erica entered a car into the race. After lots of purple paint, some butterfly and Tinkerbell stickers, some hot glue, gold glitter glue, and a little fairy to drive the car, it was ready to go!

Here she is before the race with some of the cars behind her. Her car is number 249 on the bottom row - 2nd one from the left.
All of the younger children were given a Hot Wheels car when they entered the auditorium. They all raced their cars towards the end of the evening! Kyle's car flew down the track!

Caroline is so happy!Trevor got into the spirit of the race too!

Take a look at this short video of her car's 2nd race. We had to run to find a hot glue gun after this race! There was a comment later that the fairy's wings helped her car to fly! The car lost one of it's wheels, the weights on top, and the wings!

All of her hard work and fun paid off! Her car won 1st place for design! Wow!
Here's Erica with her car and trophy.

Great job Erica!

Another week!

Caroline has been working hard to write her name recently. You can see that she copied it below Mommy's writing on this paper. Great job, Caroline!
Trevor had a bath in the kitchen sink when Mommy was feeling too lazy to get out the baby bathtub! It worked so well, I think the bathtub is about to be given away now!
Thursday's playdate with the Oldrights...

Friday

On Friday afternoon, we had Elizabeth and Ben over to play. Elizabeth's birthday was the next day, so we had a mini-celebration for her!

Sunday

We drove up to see some old friends on Sunday. (They aren't old...we've just known them since shortly after moving up here!)

Having so much fun on their trampoline!
A boy with his remote!

Wow! What do you think of that picture up above? I love the picture, but Blogger won't shrink it any smaller! Should I leave it there (for the season, at least!)?!

Pumpkin Patch!

We've made it a Fall tradition to visit a pumpkin patch every year. I don't know that I ever visited one as a child growing up in Southern California (did we?). We've been going to Maris Farms the last two years and this year was no exception. Last year it was wet with rain but this year the sun was out in all it's glory! We also had our new little pumpkin with us this year who was still in my belly a year ago!

Our kids always love getting their faces painted.

Driving the tractor...
Here they are on the cow train - being pulled by a tractor!

Trevor didn't actually ride the ride, but had fun sitting in "Peaches!" (Aw, "Peaches!")
Everyone rode the little tractors!

The three big kids were in the bouncy house, so I took Trevor over to the side to see what they were doing. He had his own fun little time just bouncing away!

How big is Erica?
How big is Kyle?
How big is Caroline?
How big is Trevor? SO Big!
Our annual pumpkin patch picture!
Can you see Mt. Rainier peeking out between Stephanie and the tractor?
This is a bounce pillow - similar to a bouncy house, without a covering. I tried to load a video of the kids jumping so you could see just how much fun they had, but it didn't work. :( Again, see Mt. Rainier in the background!

Here they are playing in CORN!
