The Great Egg Drop!

Our co-op had an egg drop on Monday, to culminate the six-week physics unit. The fire department brought their ginormous firetruck to help us with the feat! The children created a container (or used something already made) and hoped that a raw egg would survive the drop from the top of the ladder.

Here are some of us waiting for the fireman to climb to the top!
Almost ready!

The nursery kiddos stayed nice and warm inside! Trevor was so interested in what was going on!
The nursery kiddos!
Drop!
Erica had a chance to help hoist up some of the contraptions to the fireman at the top of the ladder.

Everyone!
It SURVIVED!
Some kids really had fancy contraptions to help their egg survive the 70+ feet drop. Erica's egg was placed inside a loaf of wheat bread, which was then placed inside a box with some packing materials around it. Yay for wheat bread!
