Cannon Beach, Oregon

We had a wonderful opportunity to go to the Cannon Beach Conference Center for an entire week! We had wonderful weather, met new friends, heard great teaching by Bill and Pam Farrel, the kids had loads of fun in their classes with new friends, enjoyed being at the beach, and ate really well too!

Entering Oregon
Here's Trevor eating some of the great food we had all week!
Cannon Beach is well known for Haystack Rock, seen in the background of this picture.
Like mother, like daughter!
Whale Park
The kids were enthralled with this player piano in the "Picnic Basket" store (candy and ice cream store!).The kids enjoyed the park next door to the conference center as well.
One afternoon, there was a sandcastle building contest. We had the "Cannon Beach Sandcastle" with Kyle's watergun playing the role of the cannon. We won the "Heritage Award!"
Sunset

We had beautiful weather! Here is a close up of Haystack Rock.
We drove south to visit the Tillamook Cheese (and Ice Cream!) Factory!

There was a campfire night where we made s'mores and sang camp songs. Fun!

On Thursday afternoon, there was a fun carnival!

Trevor loved climbing in and out of these huge chairs!
Daddy and his boys!
I (Steph) was able to walk to the ocean ALONE one afternoon. It was foggy, but it was still so peaceful! I went in above my knees!
In the rec center - mini golfing...
...playing in the gym with basketballs too!
We checked out at 10am on July 4th - just in time for the 11am Independence Day Parade going through town!
Every group that went past us threw a ton of candy. The kids ended up with huge amounts of sugar! It sure was fun though!
Here we are in front of our building at the conference center...sad to be leaving but hoping for another opportunity to be there again someday!
Once we arrived home, we settled in a bit and then enjoyed a few sparklers and a couple other little things that stayed on the ground and did not make big booms!
