Long Beach, Washington

Last weekend, we decided to take a long weekend to go to Long Beach, Washington. A high school friend of Steph's has a cozy little cabin that we were able to rent for a few days.
Trevor is ready for some sun!

We learned a bit about Lewis and Clark and did a little hike to Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. (Note to self: Do not take stroller next time!)

That afternoon, we saw Mother Goose in downtown Long Beach!
She even did a magic show for us!
Kyle was called up to be a helper for the "turn the solid color socks to stripes" trick.
"I now pronounce you man and wife!"
She did it!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed a bonfire and s'mores on the beach with Doug and his family.

I had to dip my toes in the ocean! I actually went in over my knees!

Having some fun back in the cabin!
There is a little area in downtown with some kiddie rides. Each child was able to choose two rides to go on. They all went on the carousel - a family favorite!
Erica and Kyle each chose the bumper cars!
Watch out world!
Caroline and Trevor chose this little Ladybug ride. They were on top of the world with the greatest smiles ever for the entire ride!

There were free horse rides in town as well. Erica and Kyle had the privilege of sitting up front and helping to drive!

What a great weekend! We made more great family memories!
On our way out of town, we drove around Cape Disappointment campground. This is Waikiki Beach, the only place to safely play in the water. We crossed this bridge over the Columbia River into Oregon to wind our way back home!
The bridge went on forever!
